A Day in the Life:

• Design and execute performance tests including load, stress, soak, and spike testing to evaluate system behavior under varying conditions
• Leverage K6 to build and run performance scripts, deploying tests within Kubernetes environments
• Monitor system metrics using Prometheus and Grafana to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance
• Collaborate with Dev, SRE, and DB teams to align testing strategies with application architecture and performance goals
• Conduct performance testing on both SQL and NoSQL databases to validate behavior under high-load scenarios
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality and stability throughout the build and release process
• Analyze test results, system behavior, and infrastructure metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations
• Use JavaScript/TypeScript and CLI tools to create and manage test scripts and performance monitoring workflows
• Participate in cross-functional planning and reviews to ensure scalability and reliability across cloud environments (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)
• Support engineering efforts, build custom test harnesses, and explore service mesh tools like Istio or Linkerd for deeper observability
