A Day in the Life:

  • Data Governance Roadmapping
    • Translate the corporate data governance strategy into a clear project vision, detailed roadmap, and communicated priorities—aligning with enterprise architecture, compliance, and business objectives.
    • Monitor progress against governance KPIs and objectives, and report status to stakeholders.
  • Policy & Process Development
    • Design, document, and roll out data governance policies, standards, and procedures for key applications and platforms.
    • Define data classification schemes, ownership models, and lifecycle management practices that meet regulatory and industry requirements.
  • Data Quality Oversight
    • Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms; identify integrity concerns early in the system build.
    • Partner with product owners to pinpoint root causes of data issues and drive corrective initiatives.
  • Program & Change Management
    • Lead cross-functional teams through governance initiatives, managing scope, schedule, risks, and interdependencies across multiple workstreams.
    • Facilitate regular governance meetings and workshops to drive user adoption, deliver training materials, and foster data literacy.
  • Governance Reporting & Audits
    • Implement oversight mechanisms—regular reviews, audits, and dashboards—to assess policy compliance and control effectiveness.
    • Prepare executive-level reports on governance metrics, audit findings, and improvement opportunities.
  • Metadata Management
    • Capture and maintain metadata—lineage, definitions, and dependencies—through data dictionaries, glossaries, and catalog tools.
    • Promote metadata standards and best practices across teams to ensure discoverability and consistency.

What it takes:

  • 10+ years in data governance, enterprise data management, or information architecture.
  • 5+ years in program or project management, leading cross-functional initiatives in large, matrixed environments.
  • Hands-on with enterprise specification management or PLM platforms.
  • Experience with Smartsheets and data governance tools (e.g. Collibra).
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus.
  • Ability to define governance vision, translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, and track against KPIs.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making, with experience in metrics development and performance reporting.
  • Skilled at building consensus among diverse stakeholders and driving change management.
  • Excellent facilitation, training, and presentation abilities for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated track record in policy development, quality assurance, and continuous-improvement practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying risks and root-cause analysis.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Creative problem-solver who champions best practices and challenges the status quo for project success.

Salary:


We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us.

  • The beginning salary range for this role is $115,00 - $135,000
