A Day in the Life:
The Senior BI Manager will be an expert in the design, development, and delivery of the client’s business intelligence solution using Tableau. This role requires expertise in creating dynamic dashboards, optimizing data visualization, data engineering, and fostering data-enabled decision-making in key areas of the business. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and extensive experience working with complex datasets and Tableau functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Development and Support.
- Design and develop advanced Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations aligned to business requirements, specifications, and are accurate, timely, and complete.
- Ensure seamless integration of Tableau with various data sources such as Snowflake.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Data Analysis and Information Management:
- Analyze large, complex, and multi-dimensional datasets to extract meaningful insights.
- Optimize data queries for performance and scalability.
- Work with SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts to prepare datasets for Tableau.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to capture and rationalize requirements and independently lead the delivery of solutions.
- Communicate effectively to present data insights and recommendations.
- Promote best practices in Tableau development and data visualization across the organization.
What it takes:
- 7+ years of experience in Tableau, including creating advanced dashboards, reports, and a solid understanding of design principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and working with relational databases/data warehouses such as Snowflake.
- Solid understanding of Tableau security and governance standards.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
- Experience working with SAP.
Location Requirements:
- Must be located in (or willing to relocate to) Atlanta, with the ability to work in Carrollton and work in the office on a semi-regular basis
