IT Systems Administrator

Who we are

Spiraledge is a collection of companies focused on health and wellness and a leading U.S. ecommerce retailer. Spiraledge operates through two primary online stores SwimOutlet.com and Everyday Yoga.com. We have offices in Boston, Massachusetts, West Chester, Ohio, Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam and we offer a Remote-First Workplace for many of our jobs.

The Role

The IT Systems Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining and improving Spiraledge’s technology environment across corporate, retail, warehouse, and fulfillment center operations. This role requires someone who can support on-site employees in a fast-paced fulfillment center environment while also supporting remote team members across the organization.

We are looking for someone who approaches IT holistically—anticipating issues before they occur, continuously strengthening and expanding automation, and building predictable, scalable processes that reduce operational risk and prevent fires before they start. The role also includes procuring equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring employees receive the right hardware and tools to be productive on day one.

This is a regular full-time role, based in West Chester, OH and on-site.

What You Will Do

Systems Administration & Operations

  • Administer and maintain core IT systems, networks, endpoints, and cloud-based environments.
  • Support both on-site fulfillment center users and remote employees across multiple teams.
  • Oversee identity and access management, ensuring appropriate permissions and clean lifecycle processes.
  • Implement system upgrades, patches, and maintenance in a controlled and documented manner.
  • Support operational environments including corporate offices, warehouse technology, scanners, and retail/POS hardware.

Procurement & Asset Management

  • Procure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and warehouse/POS equipment.
  • Manage inventory of IT assets, ensuring consistent stock and timely replacement of equipment.
  • Maintain asset tracking, lifecycle documentation, and hardware refresh processes.
  • Evaluate hardware vendors and propose recommendations for durability, cost, and suitability—especially for fulfillment center usage.

Automation & Process Optimization

  • Continue expanding automation across repetitive IT tasks, workflows, and provisioning processes.
  • Use tools such as Rippling automations, Google Workspace automation, Zapier, Make, or scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to remove manual steps and streamline operations.
  • Identify opportunities where automation can improve efficiency, reduce errors, or enhance the onboarding/offboarding experience.
  • Document and standardize processes to ensure consistency, repeatability, and scalability.

Proactive Systems Thinking

  • Monitor system patterns and recurring issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement durable, long-term solutions.
  • Design and refine processes that reduce the likelihood of emergencies, downtime, or reactive fire drills.
  • Approach changes with a holistic systems mindset—considering dependencies, operational impacts, and scalability.
  • Contribute to long-term IT plans and roadmaps supporting stability, security, and organizational growth.

End-User Support & IT Service Management

  • Own and manage the IT support ticketing workflow, improving structure, responsiveness, and escalation processes.
  • Provide high-quality support for employee devices, applications, connectivity, and on-site warehouse systems.
  • Build self-service resources and documentation to empower employees and reduce support ticket volume.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes with a focus on quality and consistency.

Documentation, Compliance & Continuity

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, SOPs, and internal knowledge base resources.
  • Participate in audit, compliance, and security-related activities as needed.
  • Maintain and improve the company’s Backup & Disaster Recovery strategy to ensure operational resilience.
