Project Manager - Deltek

The Deltek Practice Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of client engagements across consulting and data solutions, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.

Operating within a multi-discipline, performance-based professional services firm, this role ensures disciplined project execution, strong financial management, and consistent adherence to implementation methodologies. The Project Manager plays a critical role in aligning cross-functional teams, mitigating risk, and driving predictable, high-quality delivery outcomes that support client success and firm growth.

This position contributes to scalability and operational rigor by reinforcing standardized delivery practices, improving forecasting accuracy, and strengthening client trust through consistent execution.

What you’ll do at SN: 

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across Deltek consulting and data solutions engagements
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, timelines, and deliverables
  • Maintain clear project plans and proactively communicate status, risks, and milestones

Project Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to firm implementation methodologies, standards, and best practices
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on delivery outcomes
  • Manage scope, change requests, and approvals with proper documentation and controls
  • Enforce governance standards to ensure consistency and quality across engagements

Financial Management & Forecasting

  • Monitor and manage project financials, including budget, burn rate, and profitability
  • Partner with team members to maintain accurate forecasting and resource planning
  • Identify financial risks and proactively adjust plans to protect project margins
  • Ensure alignment between project execution and financial performance expectations

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects
  • Establish clear expectations, maintain alignment, and ensure proactive communication
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across client organizations, including executive leadership
  • Resolve issues effectively while maintaining trust and a high standard of client service

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards and client expectations
  • Identify gaps in delivery and recommend improvements to processes and methodologies
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance delivery consistency and scalability
  • Reinforce best practices across engagements to drive repeatable, high-quality outcomes

Operational Alignment & Team Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Consulting, and Data Solutions teams to ensure seamless project transitions
  • Support resource coordination to optimize utilization and delivery efficiency
  • Contribute to improving delivery frameworks, tools, and processes
  • Operate as a collaborative team member within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

What you may have done before:  

  • Managed and/or Consulted on Deltek products for external clients
  • Managed Deltek products internally

What it takes to be a Project Manager - Deltek: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of project management experience within consulting, ERP, or professional services environments
  • Experience managing ERP-related projects (implementations, upgrades, data migration, or optimization)
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint preferred
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a client-facing environment
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, and resource planning

Salary: The salary range for this position is an estimate of $90,000 - 110,000. A final compensation offer within this range will be based on factors including an individual’s skill sets, experience, knowledge, licensure and certifications, and geography.
