About the role

As a Tax Administrator, you will provide essential administrative support to our tax operations team. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and a seamless experience for our SMB clients. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. You will excel in client communication, calendar management, document preparation, and team coordination, all while contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional tax services.


What you'll do

  • Assist our tax team with daily administrative and other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Ensure accurate and updated data in all tax operations applications.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates on tax-related projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication between clients and the tax team to ensure a clear flow of information.
  • Assist with various mailings of tax returns and letters to tax authorities
  • Assist in collection of signed e-file authorization forms from clients, ensuring timely compliance with tax deadlines.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on administrative tasks and contributing to team objectives.
  • Help coordinate and organize travel arrangements for in person events and meetings.


Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Some experience in tax administrative support, ideally in a finance, accounting or professional services environment.
  • Basic understanding of tax preparation processes and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications and experience with tax software (e.g., GoSystems) is a plus.

The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $69,000 - $105,000 in most remote locations. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions.
