Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual does not currently provide all employees or contractors with the necessary equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) required for employment. Depending on your position, you may be assigned a company-issued device to use throughout your tenure of employment.


Position Overview

As part of the application process for the Student Teacher (Clinical Teacher, Unpaid) role at Stellar Virtual, all candidates must undergo a background check. This is necessary to ensure compliance with our commitment to a safe and secure learning environment for all students. Stellar Virtual is dedicated to maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism, ensuring that all participants are thoroughly vetted and aligned with our educational mission.


Essential Position Functions

  • Lesson Planning and Preparation

    • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and learning objectives.

    • Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.

    • Prepare instructional materials and resources to support learning activities.

  • Classroom Instruction

    • Deliver instruction clearly and engagingly, using various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.

    • Facilitate classroom discussions, encouraging student participation and critical thinking.

    • Utilize technology and other tools to enhance the learning experience.

  • Classroom Management

    • Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and conducive learning environment.

    • Implement classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and address disruptive behavior appropriately.

    • Enforce classroom rules and expectations consistently and fairly.

  • Assessment and Evaluation

    • Assess student learning through formal and informal methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation.

    • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their progress.

    • Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and improve teaching effectiveness.

  • Professional Development and Reflection

    • Participate in professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and meetings.

    • Reflect on teaching practices and student outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

    • Work collaboratively with mentor teachers and other educational professionals to enhance teaching skills.

  • Communication

    • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and address any concerns.

    • Keep parents informed about their child’s progress and any issues that may arise.

  • Support Duties

    • Assist in various non-instructional duties as assigned, such as supervising students during recess, lunch, or field trips.

    • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational program.

  • Ethical and Professional Conduct

    • Adhere to the ethical standards and professional guidelines of the teaching profession.

    • Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.

    • Exhibit punctuality, preparedness, and a professional demeanor at all times.

  • Experience with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat, Drive, and other Google platforms. 


Education & Certification Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. 

  • Must be actively enrolled in a teaching program with an accredited college or university. 


Placement Expectations

  • Attend mandatory training necessary for successful completion of the program.
  • Participate in faculty/staff/IEP meetings to understand program expectations.
  • Schedule weekly meetings with the assigned mentor for guidance on observations,
    lesson planning, and regular feedback.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, conduct live instruction, and teach small groups.
  • Grade assignments, provide feedback, and maintain student records.
  • Observe master teachers to learn effective strategies and classroom management.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including online learning courses.

Placement Requirements

  • A reliable computer or laptop (any operating system is acceptable).
  • A stable internet connection (no lags/disruptions) - high speed/fiber recommended.
  • Proficiency in using virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Google Meet) and basic computer
    skills such as file management, and internet browsing.
  • A functional webcam and microphone.
  • Dressing appropriately in professional attire.
  • Comfort and readiness to appear and speak on camera during virtual observations.
  • Complete and pass a background and social media screening.


Availability & Scheduling
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, CST. All student learners will work with an assigned
mentor to develop a training schedule that aligns with minimum program expectations for
Moreland University, and is attainable through Stellar Virtual.
