Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual is committed to ensuring our full-time employees have the tools they need to succeed in a virtual work environment. To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.


At-Will Notice
Employment with Stellar Virtual is on an at-will basis (only W2 employment types), meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable laws. Nothing in this job description should be construed as creating a guarantee of continued employment or a contract of employment for any specific duration. Position Overview
As a Secondary Teacher specializing in Science at Stellar Virtual, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational journey of secondary school students. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a dynamic and interactive virtual science curriculum.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create engaging and interactive science lesson plans.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methodologies and resources to enhance the virtual learning experience.
  • Deliver live, virtual science lessons to secondary school students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Utilize multimedia resources to make lessons visually appealing and impactful.
  • Design and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding of scientific concepts.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  • Facilitate virtual discussions, group activities, and projects to promote student collaboration and communication skills.
  • Utilize technology tools to enhance student engagement and participation.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff members to enhance the overall virtual learning experience.
  • Stay current with advancements in science education, technology, and virtual teaching methodologies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities offered by Stellar Virtual.
  • Participate in state testing procedures that requires periodic travel during testing seasons, to ensure a compliant and successful student testing experience. 


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes


  • Proven experience in virtual or blended learning environments.
  • Strong technology skills and familiarity with virtual teaching tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Passion for science education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning.


Education & Certification Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Teaching certification in Science for secondary education.


The pay range for this role is:

48,500 - 52,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
