Today, Stellar Virtual spans across three states, Arizona, Indiana, and Texas, with new states introduced each year.

Position Overview

As a Student Teacher with Stellar Virtual, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, technology-enhanced learning environment. Under the guidance of experienced educators, you will support instructional planning, classroom facilitation, and student engagement across virtual platforms. This role provides a valuable opportunity to develop teaching skills, integrate educational technology, and adapt instruction to diverse learners. You will actively participate in lesson delivery, classroom management, and student assessment while collaborating with staff and reflecting on your practice to grow as an emerging educator.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lesson Support: Assist in preparing and adapting lesson plans and materials to support diverse student needs.
  • Instructional Assistance: Help deliver engaging lessons using various teaching methods and technology; support classroom discussions and student engagement.
  • Classroom Management: Contribute to maintaining a positive, organized learning environment; support behavior management and reinforce classroom expectations.
  • Assessment Help: Aid in evaluating student progress through informal assessments and providing constructive feedback under supervision.
  • Professional Growth: Attend training sessions and reflect on teaching practices with mentor guidance to enhance skills.
  • Communication: Support clear communication with students, parents, and staff to promote learning and resolve issues.
  • General Support: Assist with supervision duties and collaborate with staff on educational activities.
  • Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical standards, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate professionalism in all responsibilities.


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Proficiency in presenting information clearly and engagingly.
  • Build supportive relationships with students and work well with others.
  • Adhere to professional standards and maintain confidentiality.
  • Communicate with students, parents, and colleagues in a clear and precise manner. 
  • Experience with Google Workspace, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Chat, Drive, and other Google platforms. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. 
  • Must be actively enrolled in a teaching program with an accredited college or university that is partnered with Stellar Virtual's programs and schools. 

Program Expectations
Review the list below to ensure this placement is right for you:

  • Attend mandatory training necessary for successful completion of the program.
  • Participate in faculty/staff/IEP meetings to understand program expectations.
  • Schedule weekly meetings with the assigned mentor for guidance on observations,
    lesson planning, and regular feedback.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans, conduct live instruction, and teach small groups.
  • Grade assignments, provide feedback, and maintain student records.
  • Observe master teachers to learn effective strategies and classroom management.
  • Engage in professional development activities, including online learning courses.

Program Requirements

  • A reliable computer or laptop (any operating system is acceptable).
  • A stable internet connection (no lags/disruptions) - high speed/fiber recommended.
  • Proficiency in using virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Google Meet) and basic computer
    skills such as file management and internet browsing.
  • A functional webcam and microphone.
  • Dressing appropriately in professional attire.
  • Comfort and readiness to appear and speak on camera during virtual observations.
  • Complete and pass a background and social media screening.


Availability & Scheduling

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, CST. All student learners will work with an assigned mentor to develop a training schedule that aligns with the minimum program expectations for Moreland University is attainable through Stellar Virtual.


Employment "At-Will"
For W-2 employment, Stellar Virtual is an at-will employer. This means the employee and Stellar Virtual can terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, as legally permitted.
