Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual is committed to ensuring our full-time employees have the tools they need to succeed in a virtual work environment. To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.

Employment with Stellar Virtual is on an at-will basis (only W2 employment types), meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable laws. Position Overview
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction, designing interactive curriculum, and providing personalized support to students in grades 6-12 with our Texas Virtual Schools online program. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to develop and deliver engaging online lessons aligned with Arizona state standards and curriculum guidelines.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Develop and deliver engaging online lessons aligned with Texas state standards and curriculum guidelines.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to academic growth and collaboration.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and families.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to optimize instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students, encouraging them to become independent learners.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders to provide updates on student progress, academic expectations, and upcoming events.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, research, and best practices in English/Language Arts education, integrating new strategies into instructional practices as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, team meetings, and other school-related activities as required.
  • Collaborate with the Assessment Services team to support in-person seasonal testing procedures with students across various locations in Texas (required for all teachers). 


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes 


  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools and learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom, Canvas).
  • Strong knowledge of Texas state standards and curriculum frameworks for English.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning community.
  • Passion for teaching and dedication to student success.


Education & Certification Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in English/Language Arts Education or related field is required.
    • Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Valid teaching certification in English/Language Arts (in Texas) is required.
  • Prior teaching experience in secondary English, preferably in an online or virtual setting. 

The pay range for this role is:

48,500 - 52,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
