Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual is committed to ensuring our full-time employees have the tools they need to succeed in a virtual work environment. To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.

Employment with Stellar Virtual is on an at-will basis (only W2 employment types), meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable laws. Position Overview

Stellar Virtual is seeking a dedicated and innovative Secondary Art Teacher to join our fully remote educational team. The ideal candidate will hold a Texas teaching certification and possess a passion for art education, fostering creativity, and engaging students in a virtual learning environment. This position involves delivering high-quality art instruction to students in grades 6-12, designing curriculum, and utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive art curriculum for secondary students, aligned with Texas state standards.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging virtual art lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize a variety of digital tools and platforms to create interactive and immersive learning experiences.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to promote artistic growth and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success and maintain open lines of communication.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Organize and conduct virtual artistic showcases, and other art-related events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
  • Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes 

  • Proven experience teaching art at the secondary level, preferably in a virtual setting.
  • Strong knowledge of art theory, history, and application.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and educational technology platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in a virtual learning environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate home office setup.


Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Art (grades 6-12).


The pay range for this role is:

48,500 - 52,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
