Position Overview: 
Stellar Virtual is seeking a dedicated and innovative ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to join our team in Arizona. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality virtual education tailored to the diverse needs of our students. The ESL Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging English language instruction to non-native speakers, helping them to achieve language proficiency and succeed academically in a virtual learning environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Design & Delivery: Develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials that align with Arizona state standards and cater to the varying levels of English proficiency among students.
  • Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to monitor students' progress in language acquisition, adjust instruction as needed, and provide feedback to students and parents.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Employ a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to address the diverse learning styles and needs of ESL students, including those with limited formal education.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive virtual classroom environment that encourages student participation, cultural exchange, and the practical application of language skills.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, special education staff, and other support personnel to ensure ESL students receive a holistic and cohesive educational experience.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in ESL instruction, particularly in a virtual setting, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching ESL, preferably in a virtual or hybrid environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using online educational platforms, digital tools for language instruction, and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students remotely.
Education & Certification Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Certification: Valid Arizona teaching certificate with an ESL endorsement.

The pay range for this role is:

48,500 - 52,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
