Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual is committed to ensuring our full-time employees have the tools they need to succeed in a virtual work environment. To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.


At-Will Notice
Employment with Stellar Virtual is on an at-will basis (only W2 employment types), meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable laws. Position Overview
The Secondary Teacher of Professional Communications at Stellar Virtual is responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging instruction in professional communication skills to secondary students. This role involves fostering students' ability to effectively communicate in professional settings, covering topics such as verbal and nonverbal communication, digital communication, presentation skills, and workplace etiquette. The teacher will collaborate with the Electives team to create a curriculum that aligns with state standards while preparing students for real-world communication challenges.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement lessons that align with state standards, focusing on various aspects of professional communication, including public speaking, writing, digital communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to engage students in a virtual environment, ensuring a participatory and interactive classroom experience.
  • Develop and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and mastery of communication skills, providing timely feedback and support to guide student progress.
  • Work closely with the Electives team to develop interdisciplinary projects and align communication skills with other areas of study.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in virtual instruction and professional communications.
  • Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff, offering regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns professionally.
  • Ensure all instructional activities are compliant with state and local educational standards, including those specific to virtual learning environments.


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes 

  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Professional Communications or a related subject, preferably in a virtual or online learning environment.
  • Strong knowledge of professional communication concepts and practices.
  • Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in a remote setting.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on interdisciplinary learning.
  • Experience in curriculum development for virtual courses.
  • Knowledge of state standards for Professional Communications.
  • Familiarity with project-based learning and assessment.


Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, or a related field. 
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid state teaching certification in Professional Communications or a related subject area.
