Role Description
The Product Manager, 3D Spatial Biology Platforms will play a central role in defining product strategy, managing product lifecycle, and driving successful adoption of the Pyxa™ 3D spatial biology platform. This role partners closely with R&D, engineering, software, commercial, marketing, and customer-experience teams to deliver products that delight scientists and accelerate discovery.
The ideal candidate brings experience in product management and a strong understanding of spatial biology, single-cell technologies, imaging-based assays, or related genomics tools. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional position with significant strategic and execution responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and refine product strategy and roadmap for Pyxa™ system, workflows, and informatics solutions.
- Translate customer insights, competitive intelligence, and emerging scientific/market trends into clear product requirements.
- Prioritize features and initiatives using data-driven frameworks aligned with company objectives and commercial goals.
- Define key applications and market segments to guide product focus, commercial strategy, and scientific collaborations.
- Lead ongoing competitive landscaping and market intelligence efforts to identify differentiation opportunities and inform strategic positioning.
Product Development & Lifecycle Management
- Lead cross-functional teams through development phases from concept → feasibility →development → launch.
- Create PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use-case documentation.
- Drive beta testing strategy, including site selection, training coordination, success metrics, and structured feedback incorporation.
- Partner with engineering, assay, and software teams to ensure timely releases and high-quality performance.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Serve as a product expert during customer conversations, technical evaluations, and early-access programs.
- Engage with KOLs, collaborators, and customers to gather insights and identify emerging use cases.
- Analyze customer feedback, NPS insights, and field-support data to inform roadmap and improve user experience.
Commercial & Go-to-Market Ownership
- Collaborate with marketing on positioning, messaging, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
- Support sales enablement through training, demo materials, launch kits, and presentations.
- Contribute to revenue forecasts, pricing strategy, and business-case development.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of product management experience in life-science tools, diagnostics, or technology-driven scientific products.
- Strong understanding of customer workflows in genomics, imaging, or spatial biology.
- Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional projects and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and user-centric mindset.
- Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites, beta locations, and scientific conferences.
Preferred
- Experience with spatial biology multi-omics platforms, imaging-based assays, or single-cell technologies.
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience supporting field teams, beta programs, and customer-facing scientific interactions.
- Familiarity with Agile processes, PRDs, Jira/DevOps boards, and product-lifecycle best practices.
