Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to engage students in literature, writing, and language arts. This role involves creating engaging, student-centered lessons that develop reading comprehension, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts (ELA) instruction that aligns with state standards.
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and discussion.
  • Teach and assess literary analysis, writing, grammar, and research skills.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Google applications to support instruction and communication.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Engage in collaborative planning, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state teaching license with a Secondary English endorsement.
  • Highly qualified content knowledge in English Language Arts.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Google applications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of literature, composition, and language arts pedagogy.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
  • Experience implementing differentiated instruction and classroom technology.
  • Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments.
  • Knowledge of student assessment and data-driven instruction.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of 5 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or walk for 90 minutes.
  • Ability to run short distances.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.

The pay range for this role is:

51,914 - 108,643 USD per year (Main)
