About the role
The Executive Account Management (EAM) role will be the main relationship owner for Sterling Brokers Clients. Your goal is to proactively manage these relationships by showing our clients the value and impact Sterling provides. This will be achieved through quarterly business reviews, annual renewal conversations and handling client escalations that need a project management mindset to help resolve any complex issues the client is experiencing. This is a fast-paced role that will require excellent client-facing skills combined with an organized, energetic, and positive approach.
As we operate across Canada, this is a fully remote position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Quarterly Business Reviews/ASO Reporting – Reviewing and presenting to clients as required.
- Annual Renewals – Reviewing, presenting, and selling annual renewals to clients within your book of business.
- Proactive Outreach – Developing and executing strategies that involve proactive outreach to our clients who are experiencing meaningful growth or downsizing along with sharing relevant industry trends to add value as their trusted advisor.
- Client Escalations – Working closely with the service team to project managing problem solving when a client is experiencing an unusual issue related to their benefits. You will help connect the correct individuals within the organization to help resolve the clients’ issues.
- Collaboration with sales – Working with the sales team on client handoffs between sales to implementation and eventually into your book of business.
Requirements:
- 5+ years previous experience as an account manager or similar role where you managed a book of business and have presented QBRs and renewals
- Holds a valid provincial Life Insurance License (LLQP) in good standing with their provincial regulatory body.
- Serve as an internal mentor supporting other Executive Account Managers (EAMs) with questions/issues that arise
- Ability to identify process gaps and implement best-practices to day-to-day EAM responsibilities
- Ability to clearly articulate and independently manage conversations with senior level stakeholders within Sterling Brokers referral partner and/or client base
- Ability to take ownership of client relationships by identifying and removing blockers and managing cross functional stakeholders
- Experience working out of CRM and automation tools such as Salesforce, Monday.com, Zendesk etc.
- Proficient in excel
- A positive and resilient attitude to get through the hard days and constantly drive to improve personally and professionally
