The Role

The VP, Creative Director will lead the creative vision and execution across all Stocktwits media properties. This senior leader will set the creative direction for design, copy, and visual storytelling that embodies the Stocktwits brand and drives engagement across platforms. Partnering closely with the COO and cross-functional teams, this role will oversee the creative process from concept to completion, ensuring innovation, quality, and consistency in every touchpoint. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on creative leader who can inspire teams, elevate brand identity, and translate business objectives into compelling creative work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Creative Vision: Define and drive the creative direction across all Stocktwits media properties, setting the standard for design, copy, and storytelling in alignment with brand and media goals.
  • Oversee Projects: Manage the full creative process, from concept through execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, and within budget.
  • Lead Creative Teams: Inspire, guide, and mentor a team of designers through project execution.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Present creative concepts to clients and internal stakeholders, and manage key cross-functional relationships.
  • Strategic Integration: Ensure all creative output reinforces the brand strategy and business objectives, in close alignment with the product team.
  • Creative Review & Approval: Review and approve creative materials, ensuring high standards of quality, creativity, and brand consistency. 
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Monitor industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve Stocktwits’ creative strategy and output.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10–12 years of creative leadership experience in media, design, or a related creative field.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing creative teams.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills; ability to articulate creative concepts to both creative and non-creative stakeholders.
  • Strategic Vision: Strong capability to align creative strategy with brand and business goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Advanced ability to navigate creative, operational, and strategic challenges with agility.
  • Attention to Detail: A refined eye for design, copy, and overall brand consistency.
