About the role
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of audio, visual, mechanical, software and systems infrastructure in movie theatres. This role will work cross-functionally to ensure business needs are met, serves as a technical resource for internal teams, and provides support for escalated customer and field service issues.
What you'll do
- Design and implement audio, visual, and systems infrastructure solutions for theaters
- Create detailed technical documentation, including drawings and BOMs
- Provide hardware/software architecture guidance, especially in projection and audio
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including manufacturing challenges
- Lead or support technical projects from start to finish
- Serve as a resource for escalated field and customer support issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and consult with customers directly, occasional travel may be required
- Maintains knowledge base of hardware and software supported
- Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience required
- Knowledge of professional audio equipment and current standards is required
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Proficient with CAD software and Microsoft Visio
- Experience creating BOMs, technical documentation, and working with ERP/MRP systems
- Knowledge of IT hardware, software, and networks is preferred
- Knowledge of signage and/or cinema equipment is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working in a high-stress, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
- Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
