About the role
The Logistics & Safety Coordinator will support company-wide safety and operational efforts by administering and coordinating safety, health, and regulatory compliance programs across construction, manufacturing, and field operations. This role plays a key part in promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations. The Safety Coordinator works closely with leadership, field supervisors, and drivers to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a highly regulated environment.
What you'll do
- Conduct and document jobsite safety inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective action follow-ups.
- Coordinate OSHA compliance efforts, including recordkeeping, safety logs, training documentation, and incident reporting.
- Assist with FMCSA and DOT compliance.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
- Coordinate and support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs for field, shop, and driving personnel.
- Support logistics coordination, including scheduling, equipment movement, and resource allocation across operations.
- Monitor and support PPE compliance and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Operations, Transportation, and HR to support safety and regulatory compliance.
- Track safety metrics and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a proactive, team-oriented safety culture across all company locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in safety, compliance, or a related role preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations; familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally with field crews, drivers, supervisors, and office staff.
- Comfortable working in active construction, manufacturing, and marine environments.

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts:
- Work is performed in a combination of office, manufacturing, warehouse, and construction jobsites.
- Regular exposure to construction and manufacturing hazards, including heavy equipment, moving machinery, and power tools.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and sun.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require close vision assessments. Moderately loud noise levels in the work environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Steel-toe boots are required.
Travel Requirements: Travel to job sites and company locations.
