About the role

  • We are looking for a skilled Marine Construction Field Welder to join our team. This role involves installing, removing, and maintaining piers, boat lifts, and accessories using hand tools and machinery. You will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of marine structures, including welding steel and aluminum components. The work will take place in various weather conditions, requiring adaptability and a strong work ethic. 

What you'll do

  • Strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and loaders.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Load, unload, and distribute construction materials using heavy machinery.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist in the preparation and site setup for construction projects.
  • Perform precision tasks such as grading, trenching, and digging using heavy equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to swim; comfortable working on or near water.
  • Experience with aluminum and steel welding.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure top-quality product delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Physically demanding role, heavy lifting up to 100lbs.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.

Physical Efforts

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Overtime
