About the role
- We are looking for a skilled Marine Construction Field Welder to join our team. This role involves installing, removing, and maintaining piers, boat lifts, and accessories using hand tools and machinery. You will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of marine structures, including welding steel and aluminum components. The work will take place in various weather conditions, requiring adaptability and a strong work ethic.
What you'll do
- Strong welding and fabrication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and loaders.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Load, unload, and distribute construction materials using heavy machinery.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in the preparation and site setup for construction projects.
- Perform precision tasks such as grading, trenching, and digging using heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 100 pounds occasionally in addition to using material handling equipment.
- May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities require close vision assessments. Moderately loud noise levels in the work environment.
- Steel toe boots are required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to swim; comfortable working on or near water.
- Experience with aluminum and steel welding.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure top-quality product delivery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment.
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Physically demanding role, heavy lifting up to 100lbs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
