About the role

The Drafter transforms preliminary concepts and configurations into detailed 3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks. This role supports sales, engineering, and production by creating accurate assemblies, maintaining revision control, and ensuring Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work orders are properly structured within the ERP system. The Drafter plays a key role in maintaining manufacturing data accuracy and supporting production efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Create and maintain 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks.
  • Develop detailed manufacturing drawings based on sales and production configurations.
  • Export finalized drawings to the appropriate departments, personnel, or production equipment for execution.
  • Create and manage BOMs within the ERP system.
  • Build and release work orders.
  • Develop and update routing times for manufacturing processes.
  • Support major initiatives, including BOM cleanup, barge BOM development, and ERP data improvements.
  • Print, release, and process job documentation for the shop floor.
  • Assist with cycle count, quality data entry, and documentation management.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software; experience with SolidWorks is highly desirable.
  • Experience with assemblies and manufacturing drawings.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and BOM management.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

The pay range for this role is:

60,000 - 65,000 USD per year (Lifetime Manufacturing)
