Position Summary
- Experienced solar installer to install solar panels on residential property, interact with homeowners, follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify truck inventory matches project plans and Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Professionally interact with homeowners and team members
- Identify and work with various racking systems and components
- Prepare and install solar panels efficiently and securely
- Safely transport materials from ground to roof multiple times per day
- Work comfortably on roofs of various types and pitches
- Maintain a clean and organized job site and company vehicle
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Assist with troubleshooting and other onsite installation tasks as needed
- Safely use ladders and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Requirements and Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential solar roof installation experience preferred
- Working knowledge of solar systems and basic electrical components preferred
- Ability to safely operate power tools and hand tools
- Experience handling materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials
- Ability to lift 40–60 pounds frequently throughout the day
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working on two- and three-story residential roofs
- Ability to effectively work as part of a team to install and properly seal roof attachments, racking supports, and solar panels
- Must have valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain DOT certification
