About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the VP Finance, this role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and strengthening internal controls as the company continues to grow.
You will join a lean, collaborative Finance team that works closely with operations, sales, and leadership. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys owning processes, improving how things are done, and contributing to a business that is scaling and professionalizing its finance function.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and prepaid expenses
- Support cost accounting and manufacturing-related accounting processes (WIP, inventory valuation, standard costing, variances)
- Assist with preparation of internal financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis
- Support external audits, tax filings, and year-end working papers
- Help document, maintain, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Collaborate with operations and other departments to ensure accurate financial data and proper accounting treatment
- Assist with ERP reporting, data integrity, and finance-related system improvements
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as the business grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Exposure to inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
- ERP system experience (mid-market systems preferred) and strong Excel skills
- CPA or CPA-track is an asset but not required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Self-starter who takes ownership and is comfortable working in a growing, evolving organization
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
