About the role

The Project Manager oversees cross-functional projects within the logistics and distribution network, driving efficiency, compliance, and performance improvements. This role leads project planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in operations management, supply chain logistics, and process improvement methodologies

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end project management for operational initiatives across warehouse, transportation, and fulfillment functions.
  • Coordinate with supply chain, IT, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven process improvement strategies.
  • Track KPIs, analyze performance metrics, and deliver regular project updates to executive leadership.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage vendor and 3PL relationships for project-related activities.
  • Oversee implementation of new technologies, systems, and automation processes in distribution centers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across all initiatives.
  • Prepare documentation, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to project rollouts.
  • Support change management efforts and stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Asana).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems.
  • PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse automation, transportation planning, or e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
