About the role

We seek a Principal Engineer, Technical Lead who is motivated to innovate, design, develop, test, and operate cutting-edge, large scalable, and enterprise SaaS security orchestration and automation applications. As a key member of the development team, you will act as a technical force multiplier, shaping product capabilities, defining functional and non-functional specifications, and ensuring high-quality, high-velocity delivery. You must possess a "can-do" attitude, be work-hungry, and dedicated to raising the technical bar for the entire organization.

What you'll do:

Technical Leadership & Architecture: Define and champion the long-term technical roadmap for the Tenant and Content Library Services, ensuring alignment with the overall Turbine platform architecture. This includes deep knowledge of architecture, design, and implementation of complex distributed systems.

Velocity & AI Augmentation: Proactively identify and resolve technical debt, bottlenecks, and complexity to maximize team velocity. Integrate and advocate for the use of AI and advanced automation tools to augment developer workflows, testing, and operational efficiencies.

Design & Development: Design and develop sub-systems of the large-scale security orchestration and automation platform. Design simple, easy-to-use, and complete APIs that enable easier integration with complex 3rd party product ecosystems.

Standards & Mentorship: Establish and enforce best practices and engineering standards, serving as the ultimate authority on code quality and technical design for your domain. Mentor engineering teams one-on-one and through code reviews and design sessions to raise the bar on engineering practices.

Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, UX, and other engineering teams to translate complex requirements into highly functional systems that are intuitive and easy to use.

Requirements:

Education: BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Computer Science or a technology-related degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 8 to 12 years of progressive software development experience specialized in the design, development, and deployment of cloud-based applications.

Deep System Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and their applications, especially within large-scale, fault-tolerant SaaS environments.

Programming & Stack: Solid programming background in C# / Dot Net Core, Web API, Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript, or other object-oriented languages.

Data Stores: Strong NoSQL database and SQL knowledge including MongoDB, Postgres, or MySQL.

Cloud & Orchestration: Hands-on experience in developing AWS cloud services to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficient application deployment and operation. Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform is highly desired.

Real-time: Experience in real-time web applications leveraging Web Sockets / SignalR.

Quality: Strong test automation skills and a continuous delivery mindset.

Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
