About the role
Are you a technically savvy and customer service-minded IT professional looking to grow your career in a fast-paced startup environment? We’re looking for an experienced IT professional to join our team at Swimlane!
As our IT Support Specialist, you will be a key member of our IT & Security team. You will be helping to support our internal teams by solving challenging IT problems & improving the efficiency and security of our computer, telecom, networking, cloud and video conferencing systems in our office in Hyderabad, India.
What you'll do
- Perform security architecture reviews/audits around services and infrastructure
- Define security specific feature definitions, standards, and oversee implementation
- Benchmark existing products and solutions to ensure the needs of the organization are being met
- Audit and verify organizational security, and drive new cyber security frameworks and roadmaps
- Plan and successfully complete IT projects and goals
- Organize and inventory IT assets & resources
- Escalate, diagnose, and resolve user, system, and vendor-related issues
- Manage Mac/Windows/Linux hosts and deployments for labs and users
- Participate in troubleshooting, capacity planning and analysis, performance analysis activities
- Integrate IT systems with one another in accordance with latest security practices
- Install and configure software and hardware (printers, input devices, A/V equipment etc.)
- Maintain switches, routers and firewalls
- Automate complex and repetitive tasks and work with internal stakeholders to drive new methodologies
- Assist internal and external stakeholders in creating new infrastructure for POVs, integrations, and other use cases as needed
- Maintain Process and Helpdesk documentation
We are looking for someone who:
- Is comfortable and excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Is friendly, prompt and professional under pressure
- Has extensive experience working as an IT, network, devops, or security engineer
- Has experience with virtualization and server deployments
- Has experience with scripting and automation (and wants to do more!)
- Is incredibly organized & works well as part of a team and independently
- Has excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Relevant Skills:
Technical experience managing Enterprise IT & Security Products, such as
Google Workspace / Office 365
Active Directory / LDAP / IAM
Jira / Confluence
Virtualization platforms (VMware, Parallels, Virtualbox, Vagrant, etc)
EDR / NGAV / Threat Hunting
Strong background managing Workstation Operating Systems, such as
Windows 10 and newer
MacOS X, Catalina and newer
Experience writing scripts & automation of repetitive tasks in
Python, Bash, Powershell, Ansible, etc.
Comfortable with networking technologies, such as
IPSec / OpenVPN / Wireguard
802.1q VLANs
Security; IDS & IPS
DHCP, DNS, SNMP
Firewalls
To be considered for the IT Support Specialist role, you must:
- Be located in Hyderabad India
- Be fluent in the English language
- Be an excellent communicator and possess strong problem-solving skills
- 2+ years experience in tier 2 help desk or above, enterprise IT, network engineering, or systems administration role
- Possess a heavy interest in learning new technologies, and keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.
