Clearance: US Citizen w/ Active Secret Clearance

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Management Analyst/ Travel Processor to support large-scale government travel operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing expert services for high-volume travel processing. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS), comprehensive knowledge of travel regulations, and the ability to manage complex travel operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and validate travel authorizations and vouchers in DTS, including Renewal Agreement Travel (RAT), Educational Travel (EDT), and Permanent Change of Station (PCS) entitlements.
  • Conduct Dormant Account Reviews (DAR-Q) quarterly to identify and close inactive or aged travel authorizations.
  • Perform CBA and DFAS reconciliation, ensuring proper allocation, invoice tracking, and resolution of unmatched or disputed charges.
  • Review travel documentation for compliance with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), DoD Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR), and Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining clean travel records, preparing reports, and reconciling unliquidated obligations (ULOs).
  • Provide Tier II customer support for travel inquiries, payment issues, and system escalations involving DTS and DAI.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports with accuracy and timeliness metrics.
  • Assist with training sessions and briefings for government and contractor staff on travel policy and system procedures.
  • Collaborate with program leadership to ensure consistent quality control, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) and DoD travel operations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of JTR, DoD FMR, and FTR policies.
  • Experience with CBA reconciliation, DFAS coordination, and DAR-Q or dormant record management.
  • Active Secret clearance (required); Top Secret or higher preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-oriented processing tasks with accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
  • Prior DoD or federal travel program experience highly preferred.
  • Certifications in Travel Management, Financial Analysis, or Program Support a plus.
