About the Role

As we scale, we’re looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to take the lead on all things tax. You’ll be our first in-house tax hire—owning the function from end to end. You’ll be the go-to person for all things tax-related. This is a high-impact role for someone who can think strategically, navigate complexity, and isn’t afraid to get into the weeds.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys both strategic thinking and day-to-day execution, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the corporate tax function across all jurisdictions where we operate, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and scalability as we grow
  • Prepare and manage corporate income tax filings (U.S. federal, state, and international), as well as sales/use tax and VAT across multiple jurisdictions
  • Own the quarterly and annual tax provision process (ASC 740), working closely with the finance team and external auditors
  • Identify and implement tax planning strategies to optimize effective tax rate and cash flow
  • Ensure full compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Oversee and manage relationships with external tax advisors, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective service
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the company
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions as needed
  • Respond to and manage any tax audits or inquiries from authorities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, and other teams on tax-related matters (e.g., global mobility, M&A, equity compensation)
  • Support equity compensation tax planning and compliance in collaboration with People Ops and external advisors
  • Help design and scale internal tax processes and documentation as the business grows
  • Be a trusted advisor to the finance leadership team on structural tax implications of business decisions and potential M&A

Qualifications

  • CPA, CTA, or equivalent tax qualification preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years of corporate tax experience, ideally in a mix of public accounting and in-house roles
  • Big 4 experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax rules, including nexus, indirect taxes, and SaaS-specific considerations
  • Experience with ASC 740 and tax provision software
  • Proven ability to work independently and lead functionally, especially in high-growth or startup environments
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and working in a lean team
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Naturally curious, organized, and eager to build something from the ground up
