Synteq Digital is a growing provider of services and infrastructure in the digital mining and high-performance computing (HPC) sectors. The company is focused on expanding its offerings to support large enterprise data center operators and the broader digital compute industry through strategic acquisitions and service expansion.
The Technician is responsible for the evaluation, troubleshooting, and consolidation of incoming ASIC mining equipment and other compute hardware. This role is critical in identifying hardware and firmware issues, ensuring accurate diagnoses for efficient repair and consolidation, and maintaining high standards of quality and turnaround time.
Responsibilities
- Assemble computer components and hardware.
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on incoming ASIC miners, power supplies, and control boards.
- Use ASIC hardware and components (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit)
- Perform hands-on, tactile work handling small parts and electronic components with precision.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to details while completing repetitive assembly task.
- Clean miners using compressed air and approved tools.
- Ensure miners are free of dust and debris before testing.
- Identify and document hardware faults including damaged chips, failed boards, and power delivery issues.
- Operate manufacturer-provided and custom diagnostic tools and test jigs.
- Record and track diagnostic results in Synteq’s internal repair management system.
- Work closely with other repair technicians to communicate diagnosis and support timely repair projects.
- Maintain organized workstations and ensure compliance with ESD safety protocols, and 5S standards.
- Stay current with ASIC hardware revisions and manufacturers' diagnostic procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for diagnostic processes, and consolidation workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit boards, power supplies, and hardware troubleshooting methodologies preferred.
- Ability to identify and document hardware faults accurately and clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with repair technicians and operations staff.
- Ability to consistently lift, carry and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components.
- Comfortable performing repetitive, hands-on tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a physically active, production based environment.
Work Authorization

Language Requirements
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required to effectively collaborate with team members and partners.
Travel Requirements
This role will require out of state travel for training, team collaboration, or operational needs. Air travel may be necessary, so unrestricted ability to travel within the US is strongly preferred. A drivers license for domestic travel is preferred.
