About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Software Support Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical software support to our clients, gathering valuable feedback, and resolving issues promptly. You will also contribute to quality assurance and testing efforts, as well as participate in small-scale software development tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Provide timely and effective technical support to our Production team
• Gather and analyze feedback to identify potential issues and improvement opportunities
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues

Quality Assurance and Testing:

• Develop and execute test cases to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Identify and report software defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve software quality and reduce defects.

Software Development:

• Participate in small-scale software development tasks, including bug fixes, feature enhancements, and code maintenance.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with other developers to ensure code quality and consistency.

Technical Documentation:

• Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, such as data sheets and user manuals.
• Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily understandable.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in C++ programming.
• Familiarity with Linux systems and tools required.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance methodologies.
• Experience in writing technical documentation.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evening meetings to collaborate with the New Zealand team.
