Senior Program Manager, Design & Construction


JOB SUMMARY

At TA Digital Group we build some of the world’s most complex mission critical environments. Serving our hyperscale customer base requires strategic and tactical leadership skills to manage these exciting projects from inception through delivery.


As Sr. Program Manager you are responsible for the delivery of large-scale data center projects safely, on time, and within budget constraints. You will manage teams of consultants and contractors, building a culture focused on safe execution and collaboration. Flexibility is crucial, as our clients’ needs can change rapidly. Consistency is key across our entire program, so you will also be required to collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach and product in all markets in which TA Digital Group is active.

JOB LOCATION: Chicago, Virgina, Atlanta (Hybrid & Open to Relocation)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain a safe working environment for all project participants
  • Develop and control conceptual project budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Manage team selection and onboarding processes
  • Manage consultants and contractors
  • Provide reporting on safety metrics, progress, and financials
  • Manage changes
  • Assist development, sales, operations, and finance team as required

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise all parties on site
  • Supervise additional direct hires including, but not limited to, project managers

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience in industrial facility design and construction
  • 3 years of experience in a leadership role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, construction management, or business administration (with demonstrated construction expertise)
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional, complex, mission-critical construction projects
  • Experience with data center environments including electrical systems (switchgear, generators, distribution, etc.), cooling systems (chillers, air handling units, fan walls, CRAHs / CRACs, etc.), fire / life safety systems, security systems, and controls
  • Working knowledge of the energization, start-up, and commissioning process
