Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair

of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal operation and

minimal downtime. This role plays a vital part in maintaining safety, quality, and

productivity in the plant by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on

machinery, infrastructure, and utilities.


Key Responsibilities:

 Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production

equipment, tools, and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

 Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical

systems on manufacturing machinery.

 Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and

schedule timely repairs.

 Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation using CMMS

(Computerized Maintenance Management System) or manual logs.

 Support the installation, relocation, and setup of new or existing machinery and

equipment.

 Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to improve equipment

performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

 Monitor and respond to facility-related maintenance issues including lighting,

plumbing, and general building repairs.

 Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards and regulations.

 Order and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as

needed.

 Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and

equipment improvement initiatives.

 Participate in on-call or emergency maintenance coverage as required.


Qualifications:

 High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in

industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.

 Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial

environment.

 Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.


 Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.

 Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming is a plus.

 Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.

 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal

supervision.

 Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and

stand/walk for extended periods.


Work Environment:

 Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise, machinery, moving

equipment, and temperature fluctuations.

 May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call duty during plant

shutdowns or emergencies.
