Position responsible for the safe and efficient packaging of the final product to be shipped by a freight carrier.

Responsibilities and Duties

●     Pack jobs in the order set forth by the Lead

●     Inspect final product for visual defects and return to inspection as needed

●     Notify the Lead if the packing equipment shows signs of needed maintenance

●     Identify various species and grades of lumber

●     Operate a forklift safely and correctly

●     Strong communication skills with other employees and Lead

Essential Skills

●     Follow all safety guidelines

●     Be able to read a tape measure

●     Be able to read and understand a packing slip

●     Be able to read and understand an assembly sheet

●     Be a strong team player

●     Be able to follow directions and adjust to changes throughout the shift

●     Have  strong attention to detail and quality focused

●     Maintain a clean and clutter free work area

●     Have a strong desire to learn

●     Ability to work overtime as needed

●     Ability to perform other tasks as required by the company
