Corporate Controller (Location Flexible)

We are looking for a diligent, precise Corporate  Controller to play a critical role in driving the company’s financial performance as we continue to scale globally. This leader will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and implement effective financial strategies to support the company's growth trajectory. 


This role is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to pioneer the next frontier in sports and to contribute to the continued rapid scaling of one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely completion and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Maintain internal controls and compliance procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards for U.S. parent company and international subsidiaries.

  • Collaborate with CFO, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership team to develop the company's financial plans, budgets, and forecasts, aligning them with strategic goals.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies as necessary to facilitate audits, tax filings, and other compliance matters.

  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and ensure the company's compliance with all applicable domestic and international laws and reporting requirements.


Requirements:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in an accounting leadership position.

  • CPA and/or MAcc; expert knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with Sage Intaact.

  • Experience managing teams of 2 or more.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a high-growth enterprise SaaS environment. 

  • Experience managing accounting processes for international subsidiaries.

  • Experience in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment in Sage Intaact.
