Account Executive (DII/DIII)

We're seeking a confident Account Executive to serve as a Territory Lead in the Division II/III collegiate athletics market. You'll own all aspects of your territory—from prospecting and pipeline development to relationship building, new business acquisition, and renewals. Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Own your territory as the Territory Lead, managing prospecting, pipeline, senior-level relationships, new business, renewals, proposals, and contracts
  • Lead the complete sales process, including "wheel calls," product demonstrations, proposal development, and contract execution
  • Generate new opportunities through proactive networking, cold calling, and strategic outreach within the DII/DIII athletics community
  • Build consultative relationships with athletic directors, coaches, VPs, CFOs, and operations staff to demonstrate how Teamworks drives measurable value
  • Master Teamworks products for the DII/DIII market—Compliance, Recruiting, Hub, Academics, and Influencer—connecting each to tangible use cases
  • Strategize and execute territory growth plans, balancing new business with account expansion
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product Specialists, and Business Development to ensure seamless client experiences
  • Maintain detailed Salesforce CRM documentation to accurately forecast pipeline

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • Extensive experience in Division II or Division III collegiate athletics with a deep understanding of DII/DIII operational structures, priorities, and challenges
  • Proven sales or business development track record with comfort managing complex sales processes and handling objections
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders and the ability to navigate pricing conversations while maintaining partnerships
  • Experience with multi-product solutions and comprehensive technology offerings
  • Success with high-volume prospecting, including cold calling and outbound outreach

The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:

  • Background in operations or support staff roles within college athletics (preferred over athletic director experience)
  • Experience selling SaaS or enterprise technology solutions with complex implementations and multi-stakeholder decisions
  • Familiarity with Teamworks products or similar sports technology platforms
  • Track record in startup or high-growth environments requiring resourcefulness and self-direction
  • Proven ability to overcome pricing objections while preserving relationships
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Consistent achievement of revenue targets through strategic territory management

Compensation Philosophy:

For this role, the pay range is $85,000-$110,000, with your final offer determined by your experience, skills, and interview performance. Every Teamworks teammate is an owner, with equity aligning your success with ours.
