People Operations Coordinator - Remote

We are hiring a service-minded and detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to support employees and impact People & Culture initiatives. The person in this role will contribute to an exceptional employee experience by managing onboarding and offboarding processes, assisting with benefits, and providing support for general employee inquiries and requests. This role involves maintaining and generating accurate employee records, HR systems, and reporting. The ideal candidate is approachable, thorough, and goal-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in People & Culture department projects to improve processes and enhance the overall employee experience at Teamworks.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries related to onboarding, benefits, employee engagement initiatives, performance management, policy, and other HR-related topics, escalating issues to the appropriate teams when necessary. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and other systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience by preparing documents, coordinating schedules, ensuring Day 1 readiness, and supporting new hires as a welcoming point of contact; facilitate offboarding for departing employees; and generally participate in and help streamline all processes related to employee lifecycle management.
  • Manage compliance tracking efforts and contribute to preparation for audits.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a People / Human Resources role or a degree in HR Management. 
  • Basic understanding of employee lifecycle processes, e.g., recruitment, onboarding &  offboarding, performance management, and talent development.
  • Experience maintaining professionalism and discretion while handling sensitive and confidential information. 
  • Familiarity with labor laws and workplace compliance regulations. 
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills⁠.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace tools, including Sheets and Slides.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working at a start-up and/or in the technology or athletics industries.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and other HR platforms.
