Business Development Executive - EMEA

We're looking for an energetic and ambitious Business Development Executive to join our EMEA expansion efforts. In this role, you'll focus on building our sales pipeline across European markets by executing comprehensive lead generation strategies, conducting cold outreach campaigns, and qualifying prospects across our full product suite, including Personnel, Operations, and Performance solutions. You'll be the driving force behind our market penetration efforts, creating opportunities that fuel our continued growth in this strategic region.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Execute targeted lead generation campaigns across EMEA markets to build a qualified sales pipeline
  • Conduct high-volume cold calling and email marketing to identify and engage potential prospects
  • Research and qualify leads across football clubs, rugby organizations, and other European sports properties
  • Conduct strategic market analysis across EMEA to identify untapped opportunities and priority segments, partnering with Account Executives to create targeted engagement approaches for key decision-makers
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and optimize outreach strategies and messaging
  • Nurture early-stage prospects and coordinate qualified meetings, participating alongside senior sales team members in prospect engagements
  • Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions and pipeline development in CRM systems
  • Support broader sales initiatives by providing market intelligence and competitive insights
  • Participate in virtual industry events and webinars to generate leads and build brand awareness

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • Foundational experience in sales or business development, with exposure to sports industry preferred
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation activities, including cold calling, email marketing, and prospect qualification
  • Strong research and prospecting skills with the ability to identify key decision-makers within sports organizations
  • Excellent communication skills with confidence in engaging prospects via phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Results-oriented mindset with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proactive leadership style with the ability to drive progress and maintain momentum without waiting for perfect conditions, consistently making things happen to achieve goals efficiently
  • Commitment to continuous improvement through benchmarking internal successes and industry best practices, integrating learnings into strategic approaches
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment

The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with CRM systems and sales pipeline management tools
  • Familiarity with European and/or Middle Eastern sports markets, particularly football leagues and organizational structures
  • Understanding of B2B sales processes and qualification methodologies
  • Multilingual abilities are a bonus, with Spanish or other European languages being particularly valuable, but not required
  • Knowledge of sports industry networks and job boards for candidate and prospect sourcing
  • Comfort with virtual selling tools and remote prospecting techniques

Compensation Philosophy:

For this role, the salary range is £58,000-£75,000 with your final offer determined by your experience, skills, and interview performance. Every Teamworks teammate is an owner, with equity aligning your success with ours.
