Site Reliability Engineer II (Platform) - Remote

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our Platform team, where you'll help build and maintain the foundational infrastructure and tooling that powers all of Teamworks' products. You'll work on critical platform services, developer tooling, and automation systems that enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions to world-class sports organizations. This role focuses on creating robust, self-service infrastructure platforms that accelerate development velocity while maintaining operational excellence.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Build and maintain scalable platform infrastructure and services that support multiple product teams across the organization 
  • Develop and enhance developer tools, automation systems, and self-service platforms that improve engineering productivity 
  • Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability of platform services 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices for deployment, scaling, and operational excellence 
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions that enable rapid, reliable software delivery 
  • Participate in incident response and conduct post-incident analysis to drive continuous improvement 
  • Support multi-region deployments and ensure platform services meet performance and reliability requirements 
  • Contribute to capacity planning and resource optimization to ensure efficient platform utilization 
  • Help establish and maintain documentation and runbooks for platform services and processes

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • Strong experience with Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS 
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation 
  • Solid programming and scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling 
  • Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and container orchestration platforms 
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar platforms 
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with pipeline tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI 
  • Familiarity with configuration management and deployment automation 
  • Experience troubleshooting system performance issues and optimizing infrastructure components

  • Experience working with platform teams or building internal developer tooling 
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms 
  • Understanding of networking concepts, load balancing, and distributed systems 
  • Experience with database administration and performance optimization

  • Knowledge of API design and microservices architecture patterns 
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring and capacity planning 
  • Background in building or maintaining developer portals and self-service platforms

Compensation Philosophy:

For this role, the salary target is $161,200 with your final offer determined by your experience, skills, and interview performance. Every Teamworks teammate is an owner, with equity aligning your success with ours.
