Manager, Sales (Performance)

Teamworks, the Operating System for Sports™, powers more than 6,500 sports organizations worldwide, including collegiate athletic departments and teams across all major professional leagues. With almost 500 exceptional employees located in over a dozen different countries, Teamworks’ software solutions drive the operations of the most recognizable sports properties in the world.

We're seeking a Manager, Sales to step into a player/coach role leading our North American Performance team. You'll be on the field with a team of Account Executives—former strength coaches and sports scientists who each bring deep product expertise in AMS, Nutrition, and Strength & Conditioning. Your mission: coach them to think bigger, selling integrated performance packages instead of individual products while staying close enough to the action to jump into key deals and build relationships that matter. This role demands someone who's earned their stripes in the sports performance world and can walk into a room with strength coaches, sports scientists, and performance directors with instant credibility.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sports performance management in one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Lead and develop your Performance sales team across collegiate and professional athletics, coaching them to assess each opportunity and determine the right approach-whether that's a targeted single-product sale or a comprehensive performance solution
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across product and marketing to align sales execution with company strategy, using customer insights to inform the product roadmap
  • Utilize pipeline and market data to forecast sales targets across products and markets
  • Establish consistency in sales processes across the team, including deal flow, Salesforce management, pricing, and proposals
  • Build deep product knowledge across the Performance category (AMS, Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning) while cultivating valuable relationships within the sports performance market
  • Design and execute mid- to long-term sales strategies that connect vision with operational execution, identifying market trends and capability gaps
  • Partner with leadership on strategic discussions to develop impactful initiatives that drive team performance and future growth

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • Management and leadership experience developing sales teams, with the ability to coach diverse talent and drive accountability
  • In-depth knowledge of the sports performance space, having worked in professional and/or collegiate athletics within strength & conditioning, sports science, nutrition, athletic training, or related disciplines
  • Multi-product sales experience with an understanding of how to move teams from transactional selling to consultative, solution-based approaches
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Natural ability to build credibility and trust with coaches, performance staff, and decision-makers at sports organizations

The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with sports performance software platforms, ideally including Teamworks AMS, Nutrition, Strength & Conditioning, or similar athlete monitoring systems
  • Established network within professional and collegiate athletics, particularly with strength coaches, sports scientists, and performance directors
  • Experience implementing consistent sales processes and CRM systems to drive team performance
  • Track record collaborating cross-functionally with product and customer success teams
  • Understanding of complex B2B sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

Champion Mindset - Traits for Success:

  • Takes initiative and creates momentum without waiting for direction
  • Thrives under pressure and stays focused on results
  • Embraces innovation and solves complex problems with strategic thinking
  • Communicates clearly, builds trust quickly, and leads with enthusiasm
  • Adapts easily in fast-changing environments and welcomes calculated risks
  • Holds themselves and others accountable to high standards
  • Constantly seeks improvement and embraces change as an opportunity
  • Aligned with our core values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism
