About the role

Techno is seeking a Business Development Senior Associate to join our corporate team to further expand our footprint in the Greater Philadelphia region. This leadership role will be based out of our Princeton, New Jersey office, strategically located to support clients across southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. In this role, you will be leveraging your expertise in business development, relationship building, and strategic planning. You will also contribute technically to active projects in your area of expertise, and be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, leading pursuits, and serving as a regional representative of the firm.


What you'll do

  • Lead business development initiatives across Pennsylvania and South Jersey
  • Pursue opportunities with key public agencies, including PennDOT, NJDOT, SEPTA, Philadelphia Streets Department, Philadelphia Water Department, and DRPA
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, teaming partners, and industry stakeholders
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and proposal teams on high-level strategic pursuits
  • Represent the firm at client meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Provide technical leadership or oversight on selected regional projects
  • Support recruitment, mentorship, and team development to align with regional growth


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey (required)
  • 10+ years of business development experience within the A/E/C industry, specifically in civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of securing work with public agencies.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure, transportation, water/wastewater, or facilities projects
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead and grow a regional market
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in Princeton, NJ and travel frequently throughout the Philadelphia region.
