  • Monitor fire safety during construction and operational phases to ensure ongoing compliance and minimal disruption to airport operations.
  • Review fire protection plans, shop drawings, and specifications for code compliance and constructability.

  • Conduct acceptance testing and final inspections for new or modified fire protection systems.
  • Collaborate with contractors and engineers to ensure all life safety systems are correctly integrated and meet design intent.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate inspection records, daily reports, and controlled inspection documentation.
  • Attend project and safety coordination meetings, ensuring fire protection concerns are proactively addressed.
  • Provide input on fire protection aspects of future airport design projects during constructability reviews.
  • Coordinate with airport fire services, operations teams, and security to ensure inspections align with airport safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in fire protection inspection, with at least 3 years working on aviation or airport-related projects.
  • Deep understanding of NFPA codes, fire safety regulations, and FAA standards.
  • Experience inspecting fire protection systems in airfield, terminal, or other airport-related facilities is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret fire protection drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Skilled in evaluating system performance, identifying code violations, and recommending corrective actions.
