Account Executive, Teifi Labs

Role Overview

We’re hiring an Account Executive to support sales for Teifi Labs, our Shopify products company.  

This role exists to own inbound Workmate sales motion and select outbound activities. You’ll run frequent demos, manage a  pipeline of leads, solicit specific deals in our ICP, and push deals through efficiently with clean sales-to-delivery handoff.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys high deal velocity, and wants to help shape how we sell and deliver Workmate at scale.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Ownership

  • Own inbound Workmate sales cycles from first call to closed-won.
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline with short sales cycles.
  • Run frequent demos of Labs products. 
  • Clearly communicate how Workmate solves real retail operational problems and why it’s valuable.

Shopify Co-Selling

  • Co-sell closely with Shopify Retail Account Executives.
  • Act as the primary Teifi Labs contact for Shopify-referred Workmate leads.
  • Ensure fast follow-up, tight communication, and smooth deal progression with co-sellers

Discovery, Scoping

  • Lead effective discovery sessions to understand merchant workflows.
  • Scope Workmate use cases including inventory management, service-based workflows, employee management, and retail operations.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering and delivery leads when complexity increases.
  • Build clear, accurate proposals aligned to delivery expectations.

Sales → Delivery Handoff

  • Ensure clean, well-documented handoffs to delivery teams.
  • Capture requirements, assumptions, and constraints clearly.
  • Proactively identify friction in the sales and handoff process.
  • Continuously improve documentation, tooling, and workflows to support scale.

Product & Revenue Collaboration

  • Stay current on the Workmate product roadmap and newly shipped features.
  • Bring structured merchant feedback to Product and Delivery teams.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, notes, and forecasting.
  • Report clearly on pipeline health, conversion, and revenue.


Qualifications

  • Comfortable running frequent demos and merchant-led conversations.
  • Clear, structured documentation and strong organizational habits.
  • Able to operate quickly without sacrificing clarity or accuracy.
  • Nice to have: Previous sales experience
  • Nice to have: Understanding of Shopify, with emphasis on Shopify POS and retail workflows.

The pay range for this role is:

50,000 - 60,000 CAD per year (Vancouver)
