  • Provide strategic input across all core functions: publications, field medical affairs, evidence generation, medical information, education, and pharmacovigilance/risk management.
  • Review and approve scientific, medical, and promotional content to ensure accuracy, balance, and compliance with regulations.
  • Serve as a trusted scientific voice internally and externally, delivering high-impact presentations and representing Tenpoint at major conferences and advisory boards.

Data Generation & Evidence Strategy

  • Partner with Clinical Development and R&D to shape and execute integrated evidence generation plans.
  • Support clinical programs and post-marketing initiatives, including IITs, RWE studies, registries, and Phase IV trials.
  • Capture, analyze, and synthesize insights from KOLs, clinicians, and real-world practice to identify unmet needs and guide Tenpoint’s strategy.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations for R&D, commercial, and executive leadership.

External Engagement & Thought Leadership

  • Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with ophthalmology KOLs and professional societies.
  • Lead medical education initiatives, from advisory boards to symposia and community outreach, ensuring Tenpoint is seen as a thought leader in presbyopia management.
  • Proactively communicate the evolving scientific narrative around presbyopia treatment to HCPs and the broader eye-care community.

Cross-Functional & Organizational Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Commercial colleagues to ensure scientific alignment across initiatives.
  • Provide scientific support for brand strategy, launch readiness, and field training.
  • Represent Medical Affairs on leadership and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of scientific integrity, compliance, and innovation.
  • Mentor and develop medical affairs team members, creating a high-performing, collaborative function.

Experience

Required:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or higher scientific education (Ph.D.)
  • Recognized expertise in ophthalmology/eye care is required; deep understanding of clinical practice, patient needs, and scientific trends.
  • 5+ years of senior-level medical affairs or clinical development experience in biotech or pharma.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with KOLs and external experts.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional strategy, lifecycle management, and data generation.
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting complex data to diverse audiences.
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to manage multiple priorities and lead in a matrixed environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

 Preferred:

  • Experience in pre-commercial and commercial biotech settings.
  • History of contributing to launch planning and lifecycle management.
