Terminal - Universal API for Telematics
Terminal is Plaid for Telematics in commercial trucking. Companies building the next generation of insurance products, financial services and fleet software for trucking use our Universal API to access GPS data, speeding data and vehicle stats.

Who are we looking for?
We are searching for early engineers to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to both the external interfaces used by our customers and the internal services that form the foundation of our API platform. Working on a platform dedicated to supporting the millions of connected trucks on the road, you will be challenged with designing for massive amounts of data, scaling up to petabytes. You will collaborate with me, Connor, to design and develop new features with a focus on quality and scalability.
Responsibilities
Lead key architecture decisions for the platform.
Design clear and robust APIs for customers to consume.
Lead the scoping and development of new integrations.
Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, and maintainable code.
Unblock and support team members and customers.
8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
Experience with TypeScript and AWS services.
Pragmatic focus on building the right solution for customers.
Comfortable jumping around the stack and wearing different hats
Preferred, but not required: experience designing serverless architectures.

End-to-end TypeScript:
Backend built with SST framework.
Frontends built with React + Tailwind.
Infrastructure as Code: SST+ CDK.
CI/CD: GitHub Actions & SEED.
