About the role:
We’re hiring a We’re hiring a Finance Operations Lead to strengthen the backbone of our finance operations across Brazil and the US, ensuring accurate payments, reliable revenue tracking, clean reconciliations, and well-documented processes as Terradot scales.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, while also helping build structure around Accounts Receivable and revenue processes, including the analysis and tracking of carbon offtake agreements. The position will support the Controller and work closely with internal teams and external accounting and tax BPO partners.
Beyond daily operations, we are looking for someone who is excited about building scalable finance processes and introducing automation. This includes identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and implement systems and tools that improve visibility, control, and efficiency across finance operations.
You will help bring structure, discipline, and transparency to our financial operations, reducing operational risk and supporting audit, investor reporting, funding processes, and future ERP selection and implementation .

Role Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Cash Operations
Own and operate the full Accounts Payable cycle, including invoice intake, validation, approvals, payment execution, and payment-to-invoice matching. Ensure vendor payments are accurate, timely, and properly documented with clear audit trails. Perform bank and payment reconciliations and support the Controller with reliable visibility into daily cash balances and short-term cash needs. - Accounts Receivable and Offtake Tracking
Help structure and maintain Accounts Receivable processes, including invoice issuance, tracking collections, and ensuring proper documentation of revenue-related transactions. Support the tracking and organization of carbon offtake agreements, monitoring payment schedules, invoice triggers, and key contractual terms. Assist in building structured analyses to support revenue visibility and financial reporting. - BPO and Cross-Functional Coordination
Support the Controller in the day-to-day coordination with accounting and tax BPO partners, ensuring timely, complete, and accurate financial information to support reconciliations and monthly close. Work closely with internal teams across Finance, Procurement, and Operations to ensure invoices, approvals, and supporting documentation are collected and validated on time. - Processes, Automation, and Systems
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and improve financial controls through process improvements and automation. Build clear and scalable operational routines using spreadsheets and workflow tools. Contribute to ERP selection and implementation by helping map processes, define requirements, and ensure data quality during system transitions. - Controls, Audit Readiness, and Compliance
Ensure payments and financial operations follow approval limits and internal policies, escalating exceptions when necessary. Maintain organized documentation and schedules to support monthly close, external audits, investor diligence, and internal financial controls.
Background and Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Finance Operations, with hands-on ownership of Accounts Payable processes in growing or unstructured environments.
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals related to finance operations, including AP processes, cut-off, accruals, and proper documentation for reconciliations and audits.
- Comfortable working without a fully implemented ERP, using spreadsheets and lightweight tools to structure processes and maintain operational controls.
- Experience supporting process improvements, workflow automation, or system transitions in scaling companies.
- Strong organizational mindset with attention to detail, and the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex financial operations.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in startup or fast-growing operating environments.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation as an AP key user.
- Experience working with external accounting or tax BPO providers, supporting day-to-day AP operations.
