Job Summary
TEVET’s LIBERTY Solutions Project Manager will coordinate and support strategic initiatives across multiple domains, including the LIBERTY Software-Defined Instrument platform, the Raytheon Mentor-Protégé Program, and the Solutions Group’s government-focused projects, including IDIQ and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) efforts.
This role blends administrative project management, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination to ensure the smooth execution of deliverables across high-impact programs. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, communicates effectively across teams, and drives results through structured support and attention to detail.
The Project Manager supports the smooth execution of TEVET’s key programs by coordinating tasks, managing schedules, and keeping projects organized. This role focuses on software-based LIBERTY projects, the Raytheon Mentor-Protégé Program, and Solutions Group efforts, including IDIQ and FMS contracts. The Project Manager helps teams stay on track, ensures clear communication, maintains documentation, and supports the successful delivery of project goals.
The main function of the Project Manager is to coordinate and support project activities across TEVET’s software development, technology transfer, and government contracting programs. This includes organizing schedules, tracking milestones, managing project documentation, and facilitating communication among internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery of program objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Support & Coordination
· Track activities, milestones, and deliverables across multiple concurrent programs
· Maintain integrated master schedules and project trackers using tools such as Excel, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet
· Coordinate team meetings, status updates, and action item follow-ups for LIBERTY, Mentor-Protégé, and Solutions Group projects
· Support preparation and execution of program reviews, customer check-ins, and reporting cycles
1. Documentation & Compliance
· Maintain and organize key documentation, including:
o Mentor-Protégé deliverables
o LIBERTY technical coordination documents
o IDIQ and FMS project tracking
· Assist in preparing presentation decks, meeting notes, technical outlines, and supporting documentation for leadership and customers
· Ensure consistency, version control, and audit readiness across all projects
2. Proposal & Contract Support
· Assist with organizing proposal input, review schedules, and coordination with subject matter experts
· Support compliance reviews, formatting, and internal routing for IDIQ and FMS submissions
· Maintain proposal and contract document repositories, templates, and best practices
3. Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as a central communication liaison across Raytheon, TEVET leadership, government customers, and internal teams
· Prepare or coordinate internal briefings, summary reports, and milestone updates for stakeholders
· Track action items and commitments related to Mentor-Protégé technology transfer and performance goals
4. Process Improvement & Knowledge Management
· Help document repeatable processes and program management workflows across the Solutions Group
· Support continuous improvement through lessons learned, retrospectives, and feedback sessions
· Maintain and refine project templates, SOPs, and tracking tools for long-term sustainability
Work Environment
Location: Remote / telecommute performing job duties and responsibilities from home or other preferred location.
Work Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST; Hours may vary beyond normal business hours for special projects or deadlines and when traveling.
Travel Requirements: This position requires low to moderate trave which may include travel to customer locations, trade shows, industry events, conferences, and TEVET Headquarters in Greeneville, TN as needed. Travel could involve both domestic and international travel.
Physical Demands
Use of office equipment throughout the day. Individuals may need to sit or stand. May require moving around primarily on a level surface periodically throughout the day.
Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal.
Remote telecommuting will require the employee to participate in virtual meetings, presentations, and video conferences. The employee will rely heavily on digital tools to interact with TEVET colleagues and customers. TEVET will provide the employee a company workstation that will include a computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset, and the appropriate software tools. If remotely telecommuting from their home, the employee will be responsible for providing an ergonomic workspace to a healthy work environment to promote good posture and reduce strain on the body. This workspace will include a suitable desk and chair, proper lighting, and positioning of the TEVET-provided workstation.

Education/Experience/Knowledge
Required:
Education: Bachelor's degree:
Experience: At least 1+ years relevant experience
Preferred:
Education: Master’s degree.
Experience: Program or Project management training
Abilities/Skills
Required:
1. Knowledge in project coordination, program support, or project administration
2. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
3. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
4. Experience managing task lists, calendars, and collaborative documentation
5. Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in project deliverables, data analysis, and adherence to quality standards
6. Ability to work well within a team, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to the overall success of the project
7. U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred:
1. Familiarity with DoD contracting, SBIR/STTR, Mentor-Protégé Programs, IDIQ, or FMS task orders
2. Experience supporting proposal development or government deliverables
3. Comfort working in technical environments (e.g., RF, test & measurement, system integration)
4. Familiarity with AS9100D or ISO 9001:2015 document control and project documentation standards
5. Understanding of relevant technical domains such as electronics, telecommunications, or engineering, can aid in comprehending and managing technical aspects of the projects.
6. Eligibility for a DoD security clearance
