Job Summary

  

The Account Manager is responsible for leading a team who is focused on their customers’ success and TEVET’s growth. This person will focus on Aeorspace & Defense, Prime customers and will be a face of TEVET.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

Develop strong relationships with customers, supplier partners and other key stakeholders as you execute against a strategy of growth.

 

Foster a strong and lasting relationship with your customer’s Small Business Liaison Officers (SBLO).

 

Seek out and negotiate new Corporate Purchase Agreements as you drive the expansion of TEVET’s footprint inside a customer base. Foster a strong relationship with customer’s Corporate Contract Manager.

Create and execute against an annual and 5-year plan that supports TEVET’s growth objective.

 

Maintain a detailed database inside TEVET’s CRM to help the executive team make data driven decisions.

 

Monitor in-bound and outbound customer communications. Ensure quotes and order receipts are completed well within TEVET’s stated expectations.

 

Coordinate customer events with our suplier partners to grow awareness and sales.

 

Works with TEVET’s stakeholders to  ensure their customer score cards are meeting or exceeding expectations.

 

Develop strong relationships with OEM’s and distributors such that you are always keeping your pulse on inventory and seeking the best solution for your customers.

 

 

Supervisor Responsibilities

 

Will take a leadership role for the team focused on their account’s success.

 

 

Work Environment

 

Primarily Monday through Friday office hours schedule, on-site at TEVET's headquarters, or remotely from a  home office. May need to work and be available outside of primary hours to meet customer and business needs. . A minimum of 30% travel will be required.

 

Physical Demands

 

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Expected to support and uphold the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Understanding QMS responsibilities to support compliance and quality standards.
  • Making customer-focused, quality-driven decisions.
  • Following document control practices and using current, approved documents.

Qualifications           

 

Education/Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar professional area.

 

Will accept three to five years’ experience as an equivalent to a professional degree.

 

 Previous experience working inside a leading CRM (SalesForce, HubSpot or similar tools) a must. 

           

A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience required.

 

 

Abilities/Skills

 

·       Formulates customer driven processes for their team.

·       Strong track record of working directly with partner suppliers.

·       Must have effective forecasting knowledge and skills.

·       Lead planning sessions with suppliers on upcoming opportunities.

·       Hunt for new growth areas inside existing customer base along with potential new customer’s and OEM’s.

·       Serve as a trusted advisor to their customer.

·       Experience working with purchasing and contracts managers.

·       Strong communication skills required including being a detailed note taker, strong background of using a leading CRM, and the MS Office Suite of PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Both confident and a great listener who seeks to understand and solve customer problems.

·       Must be detailed oriented with the ability to make decisions.

·       Must have experience and be comfortable on the phone and have the ability to ask hard questions.

·       Must have the ability to analyze and report data to customers, and to gain or regain market share.

 

Required Equipment Proficiency

 

 

Microsoft Office suite, including video conferencing tools (Zoom and Teams).

Experience in ERP systems, Oracle/NetSuite preferred. Experience in CRM systems such as HubSpot and SalesForce.
