JOB SUMMARY

 

The Director of Sales Operations is a critical executive leadership position responsible for helping shape and execute TEVET’s sales strategy, process efficiency, and revenue growth initiatives.

 

Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), this leader will drive data-driven decision-making, sales automation, forecasting, and operational excellence. This role also owns and optimizes TEVET’s CRM infrastructure (HubSpot & NetSuite), sales reporting frameworks, and business intelligence tools.

 

The Director of Sales Operations leads the largest team at TEVET and collaborates with Finance, IT, Marketing, Procurement, and Compliance to drive company-wide alignment on sales goals, revenue planning, and process automation.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.     Sales Operations & Business Strategy

·       Work in conjunction with CGO to define and lead TEVET’s sales operations strategy, ensuring alignment with company growth initiatives.

·       Owns and optimizes TEVET’s CRM infrastructure (HubSpot & NetSuite) to drive efficiency, automation, and accurate forecasting.

·       Develop and implement scalable sales processes, automation tools, and AI-driven insights to maximize efficiency.

·       Lead strategic sales forecasting and revenue modeling, working closely with CGO and CFO (Finance) to align projections with business objectives.

·       Oversee data analytics and business intelligence to provide real-time insights to C-level executives.

 

2. Leadership & Team Management

 

·       Lead and scale the Sales Operations department, including Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) and future operations analysts.

·       Recruit, develop, and mentor sales operations professionals, fostering a high-performance, data-driven culture.

·       Assist CGO to define team structure, career progression paths, and succession planning to build future sales operations leadership.

·       Establish and track performance KPIs, compensation structures, and operational benchmarks.

 

 

·       Directly manage, mentor, and develop the Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) to achieve and exceed sales performance goals.

·       Set clear performance metrics, KPIs, and compensation structures to drive accountability and results.

·       Foster a high-performance sales culture that prioritizes execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·       Establish best practices in sales enablement, training, and professional development.

·       Collaborate with the CGO, Account Managers, and Executive Team to align sales execution with TEVET’s strategic growth objectives.

 

 

3. Cross Departmental Collaboration & Executive Influence

 

·       Partner with Finance to ensure accurate sales forecasting, revenue planning, and budgeting.

·       Work closely with Marketing to align lead generation, customer acquisition, and sales enablement initiatives.

·       Engage with IT & Compliance to refine CRM architecture, ensure data security, and drive process automation.

·       Actively participate in executive strategy meetings, contributing insights on revenue trends, pricing, and market expansion.

 

4. CRM & Sales Enablement Leadership

·       Serve as the executive owner of TEVET’s CRM platforms, ensuring full adoption and best practices.

·       Oversee the development and implementation of AI-driven sales forecasting models and automation tools.

·       Lead CRM training programs to ensure full utilization by Account Managers and sales staff.

·       Continuously evaluate new sales technologies and data visualization tools to improve efficiency.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Leads the largest team at TEVET, managing multiple direct reports. Responsible for hiring, performance reviews, leadership development, and succession planning. Builds a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-first execution.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education & Experience

 

·       Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration, Sales, Data Analytics, or related field).

·       10+ years of experience in sales operations, inside sales leadership, or business analytics.

·       Proven experience leading large teams in a high-growth B2B or government contracting environment.

·       Expertise in CRM platforms (HubSpot, NetSuite, Sales Force) and reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, SQL).

·       Track record of implementing automation and driving operational efficiency.

·       Strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive revenue growth through process improvements.

·       High-level expertise in sales analytics, data visualization, and CRM strategy.

·       Exceptional communication and influence skills, capable of presenting to C-level executives.

Work Environment

 

·       Primarily Monday-Friday, with flexible hybrid options available.

·       Role is hybrid of working on-site at TEVET headquarters or at a designated home office with regular travel to headquarters (Greeneville, TN) required.

·       Travel required for customer meetings, industry events, and executive team strategy sessions.
