About the role
We are looking for a Contract Manager to join Texicare. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating and managing agreements with healthcare providers—including hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary services—to build and maintain a high-quality, cost-effective, and competitive network. This role ensures seamless implementation of new and renewed contracts through effective coordination with internal teams. The Contract Manager also handles contract amendments and renegotiations in response to changing organizational needs and may lead related initiatives and projects to support overall business objectives.
In this role, you will:
● Develop, negotiate, and maintain provider contracts in alignment with organizational policies and financial guidelines
● Manage provider relationships, ensuring contract terms are met and resolving complex service issues
● Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Legal, Operations, Medical Management) to support contract implementation and network integrity
● Analyze financial, operational, and utilization data to assess contract performance and support strategic decisions
● Ensure accurate and timely contract submissions, amendments, and renewals
● Maintain comprehensive knowledge of plan products, policies, and market trends to guide provider engagement and contracting strategies
● Support corporate initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of projects and goals
To be successful in this role, you should have:
● 3+ years Managed Care contracting and negotiating experience
● Experience in developing and managing key provider relationships
● Knowledge of complex reimbursement methodologies, including incentive based models preferred
● Demonstrated experience in seeking out, building and nurturing strong external relationships with provider partners
● Intimate understanding and experience with hospital, managed care, and provider business models
● A collaborative approach with proven ability to develop strong working relationships within a fast-paced organization
● Customer centric and interpersonal skills are required
● Demonstrates an ability to maneuver effectively in a changing environment
● Superior problem solving, decision-making, negotiating skills, contract language and financial acumen
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
● A Bachelor’s degree; preferably in the areas of Finance, Economics, Healthcare or Business related. Significant industry experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. MBA or MHA preferred.
