About the role
As a Group Insurance Account Executive for Texicare, you will work with agents and agencies of existing groups to drive business retention and growth. You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team that is transforming the health insurance industry by offering innovative and affordable products and services to small businesses in Texas.
Your main responsibilities will include providing excellent service and support to clients, retaining and growing the business, and building and maintaining long-term relationships with agents and agencies. You will also collaborate closely with the Group Sales Consultant and the Sales & Agency Support team to ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience.
To excel in this role, you should be a customer-focused professional with a strong understanding of the health insurance industry and experience in managing insurance accounts. A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Location: You must be based in Texas, expect to come to Austin (HQ) once a quarter, and you will spend approximately 50% of your time in your territory in west Texas.
In this role, you will:
Retain and grow existing group insurance business by providing excellent service and support
Build and maintain long-term relationships with agents and agencies
Collaborate with the Group Sales Consultant and the Sales & Agency Support team to ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience
Resolve client issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Conduct regular reviews with agents and clients to ensure an excellent member experience
Provide training and support to agents and agencies
Manage account activities and relationships within Salesforce CRM
Meet or exceed retention and growth targets and performance metrics
To be successful in this role, you should have:
3+ years of experience in the health insurance industry
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Customer-oriented, results-driven, and ethical mindset
Current health insurance license in Texas or ability to obtain within 30 days
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to travel within your territory 50% of the time
Ability to work in a remote environment with quarterly travel to corporate headquarters in Austin, TX
